Membership
What better way to enjoy our winter wonderland! Join us as we hit the trails, network with others, have social luncheons and support others. Due to insurance issues we have a members only policy. All participants and leaders must be a member of WOS in order to take part in this program - both the scheduled outings and our meet&ski days.
Please note that our outings are weekday events. We do not get out on the weekend but encourage you to get out with some of the friends you have met on our outings. (See our ride_share page for suggetions as to how you might meet fellow members in your neighbourhood.)
Very important: Sign-ups for our outings are sent to members only, using the email address that you enter on the membership form. Please be careful to enter your email address correctly. If you have a gmail email address, it would be best (but not essential) if you use it for communications with WOS.
Our membership is handled through Zone4, the company that manages cross country ski memberships for most Canadian ski clubs and also links the payments and memberships to our parent organizations. Our all inclusive Women on Skis membership cost for 2025-26 is $44. This includes $24 for membership with Cross Country Ski Ontario (XCSO), and Nordiq Canada(NC) which covers insurance. If you are already a member of these organizations through another club, your fee will be adjusted accordingly by Zone4.
Regretfully we cannot offer any refunds. NC and XCSO will not give refunds ($24) and as for the $20 WOS charge, some of it has already gone to processing fees, some will go to our costs and the rest to a very good cause, our chosen charitable group. Some years we ask the members to select their preference on the membership form. Other years, as in 2024-25, we supported a group for a 2nd year. This year we will be selecting a new group based on our members' preference. Please review the choices before signing up. The decision will be announced following our first outing and at that time we will be contacting the organization of choice. Please note that our membership year runs from April 1 - March 30,
